You can have your Animus account and your personal details removed at any time. You do not have to give a reason.
How to ask
- Ask at the front desk in Janabiyah — the quickest way, and staff can confirm it there and then.
- Or send a message from the account's own email address, or on Instagram, saying you want the account deleted.
The gym answers within ten working days, as Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law requires. We only act on a request we can tie to you, so expect to be asked to confirm it in person or from the address you sign in with.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth and gender.
- Your sign-in: the account can no longer be used.
- Your emergency contact, preferences and notices.
- Any future bookings, which are cancelled so the places go back.
What is kept, and why
- Payments and refunds, because the gym has to keep its accounts. They no longer carry your contact details.
- Class attendance counts, with no name attached.
- If you are a parent, your children's records stay with whoever takes over their membership — say so when you ask, and the gym will arrange it.
Coming in the app
Deleting your account from inside the app is being built. Until it is there, ask at the desk or send the message above and the gym will do it for you.
